Mod Name / Version Filter PM's 1.3
Description Allows your users to filter their private messages by sender/receiver (depending on the box you are looking) and or date. Particularly helpful when you have a long list of = not delete them.

2003-01-27: Edit: Small error correction. The variables need the "post" parameter in the get_input function.

This one looks really nice!
Have you planned to make this one language indepentend and to use the date format, provided from the theme.inc.php?

I like your way of commenting the hacks, but i wasn't able to copy&paste in formatted into my editor. Could you provide the instructions in a textfile?
Would make things a lot easier to apply.

Thanks! Works great. I wasn't able to cut/paste and have it stay formatted either but it still works.

The only confusing part was where to put the code that was supposed to be in the template. I guess it is kind of up to the admin though..

I have been meaning to make this language independant (on my looooong TODO list)

I will also work on the date format. That shouldn't be a problem.

I will also attach a text file for all possibly tomorrow.

Just a note,

I have increased the minor version of this modification.

Additions:
- Language independant
- Uses the timeformat setting in theme.inc.php
(as per Astaran's request)

Corrections:
- On the instructions (some was not clear)
- Attached file in the first post, to allow preserving of the format while copying and pasting to your files.
(as per 3DSHROOM's request)

Are all the parts of Step 2 only if you have the PM limit.

I installed this.... but selecting a username and hitting refresh just brings up the same list as before.

What did I miss?

Steps 1,3 and 4 are required. Yes step 2 is optional only if you have the PM Limit installed - I guess I should have put it last (Doh!)

It seems that the filter is not constructed in the $strWhere variable to be passed onto the $query statement (step 1.2-1.3).

If you have problems with it, please email me the viewmessages.php file and I will compare it with mine and email it back at you.

OK - will try fresh first and see if it works.

There was an error with the get_input statement in the instructions. I have changed them and now it will work, since I installed it on a fresh installation of threads.

Basically the change was:

get_input(...., "get")

to

get_input(...., "post")

on both statements for the fltdate and fltfrom fields at the top of the instructions.
