what about a passwort protection for the forums in ubb-threads?

I've already asked for this too cause I need it for my forums but there is no solution to protect forums via password which can be seen from all but only access via pwd since now.

Hopefully someone who has knowledge within php programming will start to write a hack for this prob. Within ubb.classic this was normal.

Why not take advantage of the existing functionality? Create a group in your admin section and give that group write permissions to a specific board of your choice, while no access to all the other users. Then add the members you want in that group. The board will be invisible to users not in that group.

Rigth but the board should be visible for all but without access for all. There is a real background behind this that makes this necessary.

Believe me dimopoulos that I know about the new possibilities within ubb.threads but no one of these fits my need.

In that case I'll see what I can think of....

Moderators of the forum and Admins should see the pwd and should be able to change it.

I created now groups and made some of my users moderators. the problem is that now the function:

Allow moderators to edit/delete regular users:

is a new real pain in the ass cause now they can also DELETE users. I want them to be able to change users to put them in the group where the moderators are moderators in but not to delete them...
