Has anyone ever thought of writing something up to send to users that haven't been active for a while. We could define what the e-mail would say and it should be able to include their username. We could use a cron job to execute the script in the early morning hours to keep things hopping. We could define X number of days in the script and then send out the mail.... Not sure this could be done or not because we'd probably have to have a way to keep people from getting e-mail nightly..... Once they received an e-mail then they wouldn't get another for a couple weeks, month, whatever... A lot of people drift away for whatever reasons and sometimes they flat out lose your url or get a new computer and can't find you....etc... A friendly e-mail inviting them back would work wonders.....

Unfortunately I don't know anything about cron jobs. The script should be easy to implement. Maybe set it up as an option in the admin section?

Nice idea. Must be possible with onboard functions.

The forum is saving the date of the last login. Must be possible to create a group that automatically has the members which where not online since X days.
Via the email function you can then send them a mail.

What about this Josh or Rick?

The scripting is the tough part... Coming up with the right command for the cron I can handle....hehe
