I've found a very easy way to edit CSS files for UBB Threads. Here's how:

Download a copy of Top Style Pro -it's a demo version which will allow you to run it 25 times.

Go to your Threads main index and using your web browser view source on the page. Cut and paste the source html into a file (call it main_index.htm) and save it.

In the preview pane in Top Style Pro select the htm file of your main index to use as the preview file. Then open a CSS file that you want to edit and as you make changes to it the look of your preview file will change.

I have my main index, postlist, and show flat pages saved as htm files on my PC

Not to sound like a commercial, but Top Style Pro cuts my CSS developemnet time down to minutes! It takes me longer to choose the colors that I want to use than it does to put a CSS file together.

BTW: Top Style can use your Internet connection to download graphics from your site (if you have any background images defined in your CSS). It will display the table wrappers mods correctly in the preview pane

P.S. I make no $ if you order Top Style.

Better yet...

Copy the source code from this document:
https://www.ubbdev.com/threads/php/cssdisplay.php

that JustDave uses as the CSS preview here. (Hope Dave doesn't mind me posting it. )

Keep scolling down through it, but then you've got a sample of all the variuous pages... including new posts etc....

An even cooler trick is to install the CSS display mod on your site, but run it like regular php file like this and then save the resulting page as a file. When you do you'll get all the post icons and other graphics, and if you've installed the table wrappers they will show up as well in the final template

Edit: I don't recommend that anyone save my cssdisplay.php page as a file because I have modified it to match the way I've edited the templates on my site. The resulting page will not resemble the way your site looks
