Mod Name / Version: Extended 'Edit this User' Options 1.1
Description: Rearranges the Admin menu's "Edit this User" page and also adds a couple new options,such as send a temp. password, send a PM, show posting IP's, and show all posts.

New Files: 2 - adminmailpassword.php, showip.php are added to the admin directory of your threads install.

Notes: Very simple mod.

This isn't really a mod, just a little rearranging and adding a few links. I first did it sometime last year when I went to ban a troll and clicked a little too fast and granted them Mod privileges. (The 'ban' link is directly below the 'grant mod' link. ) I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds until I got it fixed. Then I had to explain to all the mods why they got a PM saying the troll was now a Mod.

Anyway, so I separated the "Edit this User" menu in the Admin panel into 3 menus - editing their board stuff, banning/unbanning them or IPs, and giving or removing mod or admin privileges. That way I was much less likely to click the wrong link again. In the edit section we also had extra links for sending a PM, showing the IP's they post under, and I added the email link from cstaber's mod.

And the other Admin on my board always accidentally grants people moderator privledges. He's been saying "move that further away" forever!

I have installed it here too as the IP number thing might come in handy... and Rick will be able to see it in action here.

I stuck the wrong version of the selectoption_changes in there. So if the layout doesn't look exactly right look over it now, there were just a few <td> and <tr> in the wrong spots.

Any idea when we will see this ported out for 6.3????

I really miss it, having put the 6.3 beta online at my forums.

I ported this to 6.3 and incorporated my "email user password" mod into it. It's posted here.

Kudos to Lisa for the original work.
