Has anyone made a better REGISTER page - one that asks for more options up front? Some of the options would be good to be set at time of signup, versus having to find them later.

I've done some hacking for clients adding fields like "name", "location" and even an optional question or two to the newuser page and adduser script.

Nothing I ever posted, as each time was sort of a specialized purpose.

One of these days... if I have time (ha ha) I'd love to work it up with a checkbox interface so that you could choose what fields you wanted on the signup page. That would be the way to go. Then everyone could require whatever info they wanted.

I think it should be standard.

Up until a few weeks ago, I was full time employed. I kept thinking when I went self-employed I'd have time to do all the things I want to.

Nope. Still too busy.
Not enough hours in the day.

We have a ginormous one, but that's becuase we use it as a registration form for our game's alpha testers database.
