It would be cool if there was a mod where you could add, at the bottom of every post, underneath the signatures, a text link or banner ad promoting whatever it is...

Say in this forum there is a specific sponsor, so it's banner ad, or link and a short text snippet are there. And in the Chit Chat form there's another ad underneath for the sponsor of that forum.

Not sure if banner ads would go over too well, BUT you could at least put a text link.

Something that might also generate revenue in charging users to "upgrade" so they don't have to see the ads, or have them in their posts.

Anyone?

It would be quite easy to do with a combination of several hacks here however it would make the showflat screen very cluttered and ugly.

From off the top of my head one would need to insert a banner ad into every post except if a user paid at which time they would be changed to a different group which would not attach these ads.

Sounds to me like a combination of at least 3 different hacks around here with modification of course.
