So, I had an inspiration last night. http://www.mpdev.netA graffiti wall! I'm wondering if I can scale it down to a smaller size and only display the last 10 messages or so. I was thinking it might be more "colorful" than a standard Shout Box. What do you think?

This is so cool! I did a similar thing in ASCII on my BBS many years ago and have always been thinking of doing it with graphics for the web but have never gotten around to it. Now I don't have to if you release this! =] Things I was thinking of having on my version: - User can click where they want the graffiti to be.
- Only showing the latest graffiti, as you mention.
- Possibility to select color and maybe font.
- Letting the admin remove graffiti.

I'm trying to decide how to wrap this all together. I dont do any tracking of posts made (other than a text file listing all posts, ips and usernames). I agree some of the suggestions above would be nice; I'm just not sure how pratical they can be to add. (Right now a PNG is crated each time a new post is made and is fairly simple; tracking locations and redrawing the PNG without an item would involve tracking text and locations - not overly difficult; but certainly not trivial).
I dont mind sharing the code when it's ready. I just have to document it.
