Nah - far too complicated

I agree, probably one of the hardest hacks to date Thanks Josh, considering I have an MP3 download site this will be very handy and save tons on bandwidth.

There appears to be a fault in how the link is created in printthread.php which would still allow this to be circumvented. For those concerned with this:

printthread.tmpl:

Lines 40 - 44 should be removed.

One thing I have noticed about this, if you use the inline hack, unregistered users can still see the image.

Yes - but the inline image hack has it's own setting so that you can prevent anonymous users from seeing the images inline in the config file.
