a lot of times users (myself included) start reviewing the forum and decide to make a post but realize they were not logged in. When they log in you then have to re-navigate back to the post you were reading. Is there a way to take me back to the post after I log in, many times I forget my train of thought and my new post is less than elegant.

Hey, this is not a mod but you can open login in new window and then refresh your browser...

Quick Windows Tip: Holding SHIFT while clicking a link will open the link in a new broswer.
But a better way to "fix" this would be to do what most other forum programs do. Have fields for username and password along with the post so you can login and post at that same time.
