Anyone looked into a "warning" level indicator which could be used to let users know they are getting close to being banned? I've seen it on other boards, usually a percentage of something like that.
I'm looking at a "three strikes, your out" mod. A strike could be a red X which is displayed under a users name in posts and three would result in a 30-day ban.
The strikes would be a good visual indicator to users that they are crossing the line.
Anyone done anything similiar?

Haven't seen this one for threads.. but have on other forums. I think it's a good idea

If you're not using the user ratings, that could be adapted for this purpose.

We're using user ratings (sunglasses); although when put to our users they didnt seem too fond of the idea. I probably wont do it, but it does look like a neat feature.
