Okay this has been around for sometime but last time anyone posted this was a year and a half ago.

Original author is casper. All I did quite some time ago is just convert the needed code into a free custom box in IIP as the original version hard coded things into IIP.

Just download the custompalbox and name it to whatever number you have free in the custom ones and set where you want it displayed. Also fill out the database connect info Rename it to php extention from txt

I m sure to set up the database connection information correctly. Any idea ?

/edit: OK, I got it. ! I have to setup the tablename. the script use photo and i use pp_photo. Second thing is to set up the imagepath. Now it work's, great.

A special notice and security warning. If you use this pal you can bypass the login and restrictions to display the full size image and the whole content of the image group.

The script dosn't check the rights to display the full size image. Thumbnails will be selected from the whole lib without set allowed galleries in the script itself.

Zarzal that is incorrect to a degree. The script has a function built in called $forcats

Look for

$forcats ="";

and change to something like this

$forcats ="502,504";


So if you want only specific galleries able to display. You right however this script does just grab a random image from the database which is exactly what it is intended to do. If there are specific things you want included let me know.

Yes, I know. I wrote : "Thumbnails will be selected from the whole lib without set allowed galleries in the script itself." For me its now not a problem. Its just a litte note for people who like to use this.

Maybe an idea for upcomming versions: the select from database should be include the username and his rights inside the gallerie. So only thumbs will displayed that allowed for this user/ guest without set the allowed galleries in the script.

I don't need this right now. the script works fine for me.

That feature while a good idea would not be advisable since for any visitor to the site they would get a big fat X.

Now if this were a private forum where only users would see the entrance page then it would work.

Yeah, I need to do this. I also need to rewrite the forum listing as I use an array to display the category list in PP which greatly reduces the number or queries for larger boards.

I just installed this mod. Link to the actual photo works but on the PAL page it shows a big X.

Any ideas. I'll look at it and see if I go some thing wrong.

sweet...works great after figuring out the path setting. Have to remember that you need /data/ in the SRC= path.

Had me thinking for a few.

$pp_url="PATH/TO/PHOTOPOST/INSTALL";

Would probably help if you changed it to:

$pp_url="URL/TO/PHOTOPOST/INSTALL";
