Mod Name / Version: Email Original Poster Replies 1.0
Description: This will allow a user to enable an option in their email preferences and by default automatically receive all replies to their posts via email.
Database Altered: New field, U_EmailPostReply, added to the w3t_Users table.
Info/Instructions: Will not email the user their own replies, only replies from other users.
Disclaimer: Please backup every file that you intend to modify. If the modification modifies the database, it's a good idea to backup your database before doing so.
Note: If you modify your UBB.Threads code, you may be giving up your right for "official" support from Infopop.If you need official support, you'll need to restore unmodified files.
Cool mod Josh, just a quick question about this. Is there a setting to have this option checked by default, some of the other boards do this :cough*vbulletin*cough: so it would be a nice addition
No - not really necessary. There is an on/off setting under email preferences.
"Recieve replies to your posts via email? Yes/No"
So if it's on you get all replies, if it's off you don't. Not really on a post by post basis (that's what the favorite thing is for). This is an all or nothing sorta thing, in addition to current favorite thread functionality.
