I had attempted to post this on InfoPop's site, but for some odd reason....all of the forums have "Read Only" on each of them so I can't post this recommendation on their site.
My recommendation may have been addressed somewhere along the lines....but I didn't see it in my short search.
I would like to have an option added in the Admin panel where I can control not only the file dimensions of Avatars but the file size of Avatars as well as file dimensions and file size of Signature Images as well.
The problem I'm being faced with is that members of my forums are adding the correct file dimensions of avatars....or if they don't, the software will make the changes to what I have set as the default....however, some of the file sizes are a bit on the large size as some of them will have a .gif image that is animated. With a few of these same members posting in any one thread...it slows the pages down for many of our dial up users. Yes, I have established rules on this....but it's hard to police as I've not always got the time.
The proglem also arises in the Signature Images....some members are putting near a meg file size as their image in their sig. I don't want to disable this option....but I'd rather like to have some control here.
Is this something that InfoPop can look into making happen?
What are your thoughts on this....?
