I would like to offer (unregistered) visitors the possibility to change the forum language. My site is partly in dutch and partly in czech language. The default forum language is dutch and czech people entering my site often leave immediately because they don't see their language at first sight.. So therefor I would like to offer a language switch on top of my board! Does anyone have experience with this ? Is it possible/easy to do this ? Thanks! Pasqual

I am terrible with cookies...but possibly have it store in the initial cookie, or something similar?

It's too bad this doesn't become standard. It's definitely limiting I think - there's such great potential, but you're right. Users who don't see their native language would find it awfully hard to navigate through the MY HOME area to edit their profile and switch the language... lol
I'd love to see a mod for this!

I am not even sure it CAN happen, but if you are unregistered, the only way I can think of to track anything is by cookie.
POSSIBLY by session, but again...both cookies and sessions are things in which I rarely mess around.

It's been done before, but I think there were some minor inconsistencies with things. Check in the archives somewhere... I know it was done for older boards.

Yeah, there was an old mod - where you clicked the little flags and it changed the language on the fly.
I dont' think it was ever upgraded for version 6.

If it is already out there, it should not be too hard to upgrade to a current working version.
If I can find it, will give it a look.

It may be in the version 5 forums. I never could get it to work right for version 6 - but I was a n00b then.

Ooooooh.
Well if Josh cannot get it working, it cannot be done! Heheh.
Honestly if it was v5, that would prove challenging to re-mod.

If I remember right Just Dave had this working on his website and used it with his IIP that he had for those forums back then.
