so i'm thinking it might be kind of funny, kind of eeeeevil to pretend all the PM's got deleted from the database on April 1. could i simply do this be renaming the PM table, and putting a blank identical one in its place?

Except that if someone tries to send a PM, what will happen?
If you make a new table, what happens to the PMs sent that day?

heres a good April Fools joke.. rename index.php in your main directory to index2.php and then redirect all page requests in a new index.php to I don't know anywhere else but your site..

i think i'm just going to mess with showmessages, the PM view page, and perhaps have a fake PM in there from a secret admirer. i'm way too eeeeevil. that way i don't have to mess with the db.

Oh so you're going to take this for a few days? There are a couple people who have expressed that they think it is a joke, but there are the other ones who are clueless who are really scared for the site. You need to come up with some sort of "proof" to make it believable... Thats why I never believed it in the first place because I didnt see anything anywhere. Its kind of tough, but something to think about.
Oh and do you check the site still? How do you do that? Anonymous?
Do you want to tell me what some of your future plans are for the joke?
Heres how I found your "hideout" or secret location... I searched drumlines.org in google and I landed here in threadsdev and I saw the thread for april fools.. Hopefully nobody else is 'smart' enough to find it.

Yes, it is going to last longer than just today. All users have the option of being invisible to the who's online feature. I am just invisible to regular members, and am visiting the site as constantly as ever, but only staff members can see me. No, I do not want to tell you my future plans - you'll just have to wait and see.
