It would be cool for the user to have the ability to have their own category on top called "my favorite forums" where they select certain forums to include in the category.
This would be useful on sites where there are a ton of forums and users are only interested in certain ones out of each category.
It would definately save a lot of scrolling down for some people.

This exists already. Basically you add the forums to your favorite forums list then at the bottom of the main screen in the extra info area you click on the "Show Favorite Forums" link.

well, it would be useful to display them above the other forums, but alone is good as well...
