I know it's only June, a long way to go until christmas – but nevertheless I have a wish: I would like an additional column on the «Show all user's posts» list (accessible from the Profile site of a user). This new column to the right could then display the last reaction to every post (with date, time and user name, like on the Main Index); and you could use the place of the «poster» column for this, because it is not needed

This would it make much easier I think to see, if there is a new answer (or question) to one of the posts I'm involved with. With the heavy traffic on the site the «Active topics» list is much too long after a day or two for this purpose.

Wouldn't it be even better if you had the option of clicking on "new posts to me" and getting a list of posts that were replies to you ? Or, having the option of that list being displayed when you log on?

I've started to work on such a thing, and it doesn't seem that difficult a feature to implement. I have it about 3/4's finished and I actually found this site and have been looking around to see if it's been done already.

What I've done is to add two fields to the posts table. Recipient, and Read_by_Recipient. Recipient holds the U_Number, and Read_by_Recipient is a true/false toggle.

The closest idea I've found so far is the "Email Post Replies", by JoshPet.

For new posts, I'm thinking of adding a "recipient" field that could be either addressed to "ALL" or a specific user.

Mike
