Do I have to edit the table tag in the stylesheets? If so that entails editing everystylesheet, lots of work. Or can I add some attributes to the table tag in the $tbopen file? Basicly I need all the tables to have curved corners? Any help would be appreciated

JC knows better but I think curved corners can be done in the tbopen & tbclosed by adding some style sheet classes then you would have to put those classes in each stylesheet because the rounded corners are actually gif/jpg/png files.

I see. I thought it was in the HTML. From what you say it is, but I didn't know that the corners themselves were images themselves. Thanks!

Yup you need to rework tbopen and close to have an outter table with a place for each piece. Then you need to make complimentary graphics etc.. I have some here.. " by adding some style sheet classes then you would have to put those classes in each stylesheet" Only if you want your members to be able to choose alternate looks.

I still think 3DRealms is the best looking ever... I worked for a few days tring to get that to work on a default stylesheet for me. (to look exactly ike that) but I never didi get it right. I had the forums all wacked out and everyone was like, "give up already. I cant take it". Made for some funny posts though. Im going to have to look into to it a bit deeper on a test board because I really, really like that way 3edrealms looks...

I like the way their logo blends into the page -keeps the site from looking "square" even with all the tables in the forum.

3Drealms was a lot of work. I edited most all templates etc, as well as a lot of css.. (Ugh need to do more when Joe gets back to upgrade to 6.5) FYI all artwork there was done inhouse, by the artists of 3Drealms

I still havent been able to duplicate it right. I got the images to show up but when I go to a post or go to another part of the forum, it only shows the place holders and is wacked all sorts of ways. Ill get it sooner or later, I only have time to work with it Still, its the best I have ever seen in forums.... Great work to all involved

I get tempted to explain it, but I think you'll be happier doing it yourself.

I dont know...... Im about ready to rip the paint off the walls. Is is something as simple as adding the right code in the $tbopen and $tbclose. because I tried that and it worked on the main page. but not when you went inside the forums to read the posts.... edit: too many sleepless nights = spelling errors....

That sounds like a pathing problem.

[] DrChaos said: ...because I tried that and it worked on the main page. but not when you went inside the forums to read the posts....[/] IF you are using foreground images then you need to use the absolute path to those images. Example: src="http://www.your_domain.com/your_directory/your_image.gif" IF you are using background images and you are adding them via your style sheets then you can use a relative path (relative to the stylesheets directory). So if you_directory was a subdirectory under your stylesheets directory you could use your_directory/your_image.gif in your stylesheets for the path to a background image... Get some sleep...

I do think I was using "/threadsdir/images/name_of_image . Ill change it to the full path and give it a shot. I will look at it tonight, between looking at the code for the tourney bracket and fixing the addon for the acrade mod
