Would be nice when someone starts off a thread with a subject like WTF is this crap? or something else that's objectionable like that to be able to edit all the subjects at once.

As it stands, you have to edit each msg in the thread one by one, and if the thread has gone on for a bit after you started it, it's a royal pain.

Would be nice to say "OK, make the first one 'this', and all the rest Re: 'this'.

Thoughts?

Yes, that's what we could also use for our board!

This could be done easily which a small sql statement.
Update w3t_Posts SET B_Subject = "YOUR SUBJECT" where B_MAIN = ID OF FIRST POST IN THREAD;

Replace YOUR SUBJECT and ID OF FIRST POST to fit your special case.

As always, make a backup before altering the database.

I'll just add that if the subject changes one or more times partway through the thread, which often occurs, and only some of the subjects need to be changed, then this is the query to use...

UPDATE w3t_Posts
SET B_Subject = "NEW SUBJECT"
WHERE B_MAIN = ID# OF FIRST POST IN THREAD
AND B_Subject LIKE "BAD PHRASE IN OLD SUBJECT"
