Mod Name / Version: Quote Buttons 1.0

Description: This will add 2 buttons when adding/editing posts, which will allow the poster to strategically insert both opening and closing quote tags on demand when wanting to break up a reply into several quotations in order to respond to each point. These tags will be placed in the text box wherever the cursor is located.

Note: The functionality is for Internet Explorer only since the other browsers don't support the javascript function used. I have coded it so that the buttons won't even appear for non-IE users.

Thanks for this.

Any way of making it work with all browsers?

Also, after installing the buttons are to the right of the text box. How do I get them below like on your demo?

If there is a way, it's incredibly complicated and you'd have to be an ace browser & javascript guru to figure it out. The documentation for doing so is pretty much nil on the web.

I searched for hours and could not find a definitive answer.

The function currently used is IE specific.

These browser incompatibilities really irk me, I must admit.

Well, you're installing on 6.4.3 when it clearly mentions that it's a 6.3 mod

I am unable to answer your question because 6.3 (specifically 6.3.2) is all I use.

If you know anything about HTML, you should be able to figure it out yourself in the templates however.

Thanks for the mod. I will see if I can move the buttons if not I will live with them. What do I care, I use Firefox
