Database Altered: Bo_Teaser added to the w3t_Boards table
Info/Instructions: If a forum is tagged as a teaser forum, everyone will see it on the main index. Users won't be able to view inside unless they have "read" permissions.
You may wish to customize the "Access Denied" message (language files) to explain why they can't view the forum. (Must login, must subscribe etc.....)
Disclaimer: Please backup every file that you intend to modify. If the modification modifies the database, it's a good idea to backup your database before doing so.
Note: If you modify your UBB.Threads code, you may be giving up your right for "official" support from Infopop. If you need official support, you'll need to restore unmodified files.
I'm good with making the .php modifications, but I don't know how to properly create a new table using myphpadmin. Is there a simple set of instructions available that anyone knows of?
"ALTER TABLE w3t_Boards ADD Bo_Teaser TINYINT(1) NOT NULL" is greek to me.
with phpMyAdmin after you select the threads database there is a tab that says SQL just enter that command in the whitspace and click "GO".. its as simple as that
Thanks, great help! I've successfully modified the BB and it's working great, but I don't know which .php language file to open in order to customise the "Access Denied" message. I've tried languages/english/generic.php and a few other to no avail.
