Nearly two weeks ago, a friend informed me that Juno, my ISP, had transmitted the blind carbon copy (BCC) list to the headers in her inbox. After some sleuthing, I discovered this had happened randomly to others that I BCC'd also. Another friend who also uses Juno is getting the same results sending mail using the BCC. Before this the BCC function has always worked correctly.
After a few days going around with support they finally admitted there might be a problem. No kidding! It has been escalated to product support as 'critical'. Though they have promised to contact me within, 'one to two days', then 'three to five days' and most recently 'when they can figure out where the problem is', all I am getting is stony silence.
If I didn't have hundreds of names in my address book which will have to be re-entered by hand, I probably would have just jumped ship by now. But even if I move on, that does not solve the problem.
Juno users everywhere are having their privacy compromised even though most might be quite unaware that it is happening. There has not been one word to Juno customers that the problem even exists. Talk about corporate irresponsibility!!
I think it's important that this information be circulated to warn Juno users about what is happening. Any ideas where the best place might be to sound the alarm??
