Instead of the useful image indicating a new message, why can't the new message glow?

So if a new message is posted, the title glows until you click on it.

How cool is that idea? And how easy would it be to implement? Cal answered that question at SK!

The folders should stay, i dont know.

Can someone test this on a board so we can see a demo of this hack ? It sounds interesting but I want to see it in action.

Dear Sir ,,

I was try the Glowing New Posts but there is problem with it ...

i think the problem with the
$wrapstart = qq( );
$wrapend = qq(
);
i can't how can i explane the problem for you but when i put the Glowing new posts in my UBB the table of forumdisplay look for up down right left i mean look like "Rabish"
try the hack and you will see what about i talk .. [Linked Image]

I installed this hack on my forums and no it didn't erase the icon (I knew it wouldn't anyway) If you want to see the glowing text go here you will not be able to see the glowing text if A.Your browser doesn't support it or B.There arn't any new posts but this is a cool hack that just adds a little something to your board so it's recomended by me.

That CSS may be the problem, but i dont know for sure.

MM thanx for looking. It looks like the CSS is the problem. When I remove it the glow reacts normally when I change the "strength" settings.

Anyone have a work around so that I might be able to bypass the CSS with have to change it for the entire board?

I got it to work

i when i test to see if hacks work i use the old ie 4.0 so i used my 5.5 and it worked great
