Allen, try this in privateview and see if it fixes the narrow outbox.

There is still that bug with special characters in the notification email. Haven't figured out how to fix it.

I found something rather distracting with the login screen for the PM's. The borders around the tables/cells are very thick. Click here to see what I mean.

BTW: there is a typo in privateprefs, you spelled receive, recieve

Thermit? Fix? Is this about the fixed ubb border thing in the private messages? If it is, I have to complain...cuz I did that myself a while ago. The files I posted a while ago show it...

Has anyone come up with a fix for the "1" problem? When I try to upload an image all I see is a "1", no image.

The problem is when I try to insert an image in PM everything appears to work as it should. I choose a file, it gives me the URL to paste in the message box, I click send. When I check the in/outbox, all I see is the number 1. http://dachsie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/privateread.cgi?ID=1&New=No

I just got a couple PM's (here at ubbdev)...one from yesterday, and one from today...AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST! Somethin ya did messed it up ^_^.

I really need some help!

We installed the PM 3.7 on one of our private boards for testing. The only thing so far that we have noticed that is not working properly is the font size and color coding. Is it something that we did wrong on our end or is it a problem with the hack?

Hope someone can help me with this. I would truly appreciate it.

Hi - I am not new here - I am really Master Mond - ya know the hacker - well my posts re-set so I have to restart - anywayz there is still a problem with the hack - not that it ain't workin right - but I went on today and a table went all the way acrooss the screen - I'd say it was about a 1340

Attempting to impersonate a moderator, however lamely, can get you booted off the board. I wouldn't try it again.

Dachs, do you have a screen shot of what your "1" problem looks like? It sounds like a bug that was already fixed in privatesend.cgi, unless it's the same one in the image_upload.cgi, so you might want to ask your question in the codebuttons thread. Be sure you have downloaded the latest zip files for all bug fixes.

ILY, where are you finding these irregularities in the color and fonts?

Is there away to make pm auto send a user a message when thay first register?

When I click to change the color of my font or the size of my font in my text message it will not work. The code shows up.

Allen we are also using 5.47b, would that make a difference?

See it works here so now I know it's something on our end. When I try changing the font color it doesn't work like it does here. HELP!

ILY, it sounds like you have some problems with the changes that should have been made to ubb_library.pl, those help the ubb to interpret the code. Start your bug testing there.

Allen,

We started from scratch. The script works fine except when I try to set my font to a different color. When I click on a color and enter my text...once I send a test to myself the only thing I get is the code for the color font and my text inbetween
[color=Green]....etc.

Obviously there is something we are missing.

Hope you can help me.

Have you actually installed ubb code buttons ILY? There are changes to ubb_library.pl that have to be made in order for the different font changes to work...

Aha!!! Now I guess that's the problem. I was not aware I had to install the ubb code buttons. I'll download that now and will try it. I will let you know how it works out. Thanks for all your help, it's truly appreciated!

would be possible request an addition of a few features? or is it possible for anyone to add a quick hack for it? it doesent seem too difficult, but then again, who knows. for example, like the previous, or next message buttons in ubb, but for the pm's, to go to previous message, or next newest message (this way instead of having to go back to message listing every time)

2) is the display by date pull down, can that also be integrated? like display all, display from last day, from last 7 days, etc, same thing as ubb.

3) saving messages to folders option, (coming soon?)

I was looking at this problem, cause I was seeing it too. It looks like the $User.count file got reset but not the $User.db file, because the message number of the out-of-sequence message was higher than the current $User.count value. Now that I think about it, it is probably just a fluke from the server wipeout a few days ago.

Allen, can you keep a bug list somewhere, maybe in the first post. Still need a fix for the notification email title (?/QUS) problem.

Feature requests too.
