This is the most recent version from the database, yes.

No, I am not getting |APO| (or |QUS| I think), but a straight APO / QUS ... like it's parsing out the splitter, but not the actual APO or QUS... strange. I was going to track it down tomorrow, but the recent developments over at Infopop have caused me to re-evaluate the company. See my other thread for a more detailed explanation.

Thank you for the response though,

Flare

Allen, I am indeed still having the same problems. The only other odd error that I have encountered, is the 'pipecleaner' dosen't seem to be working on the message body. It works on the subject, but the message body throws the message all out of whack.

hmmm... not sure how I can help you Nick... pretty much all the developers moved to v6 coming out in the next 3 days...

I don't see the error on my installs, which makes it all the more difficult to diagnose... if I hear of anything, I'll post it back here... wish I could be of more help.

I'm comming up with this error after pressing send private message. I've made sure that all the files have the correct permmison and that I have the right perl path, and also made sure everything in private.cfg is correct. What do you think the problem could be?

Did you set your private directory to 777? This would be the most likely problem.

aahhhh... much better... wink

ok, this has been answered a few times in this thread, but here goes:

- Do you have
require "private.cfg";
in the "requires" at the top of forumdisplay.cgi and postings.cgi?

- do you have the ubb_code_buttons.pl file uploaded into your ubb cgi directory?

- do you have the smilies set up in your control panel?

set up a test acct so I can see what it does...

ok, it's most likely the smilies not being finished.

Check the thread for codebuttons (5.5 I think), the install instructions tell you how to install the smilies. Install them and go into your control panel and finish setting them up, that should clear it up.

Forgot to mention I'd prefer 5.47 since 6.0 doesn't have what seems to be all the hacks created yet.
