Charles ... or anyone else ...
I played around with the Multihack file for the UBB Instant Code created by MrStormyNights.
I've installed it into my test board, and everything seems to be working A-OK (knock on wood)--even with the JCTemplates.
I know that in the past, the UBB Instant Code hacks have created security issues.
Do I have to be concerned about this for UBB 6.3?
Thanks!

I thought that all existing security holes with the hack were fixed in the latest version of 6.2..? I could be wrong, but I went along and installed it..

I did, too, but I just wanted confirmation that this hack won't have any dire effects on my board.

If this is a port of the one that MrStormyNights did for 6.2, then it's perfectly safe.
UBB.classic: Love it or hate it, it was mine.

Thanks, Charles! It is. I didn't change any of MrStormyNight's code.

There is actually a blob of code that needs changing since the 6.2 version of the hack on ubb_lib.cgi and ubb_lib_posting.cgi Have you already done this, if not I can point you in the right directions..

Really?
I have it installed on my test board, and it seems to be working fine.
I'd love to know if there is something out of kilter, though.

Try editing and quoting a post which contains ubb code (especially the img and bold tags) and let me know what happens..
