We are often criticized for sending topic reeling off course. A perfectly normal conversation is happening when someone suddenly posts something that sends the thread veering off in a completely different direction. We've all done it...I do it on a daily basis. That being said, here is a new thread for your enjoyment. The off-topic thread. The challenge for you is to post something completely unrelated to anything that has been posted before...hence, stay off-topic. If you reply to something that has been mentioned previously, then you are on-topic and that is something you should do in other threads. So then: Courtesy of the Learning Perl colophon, a little about Llamas: Llamas are from Andean range of South America, where they are well suited for the high mountain life. Llamas graze on grasses and are also known to be short tempered, stubborn and will "spit" to demonstrate displeasure. Llamas can carry heavy loads, and are often used as beasts of burden. Archiological evidence suggests that Llamas have been domesticated for over 4,000 years. Llamas also provide wool, meat and leather hides, although the wool of its cousin, the alpaca is more highly sought. That is enough about Llamas....now for something completely different....

Cheeses that have holes in them are commonly referred to as "Swiss Cheese", but in reality there are many different cheeses from many different countries that are often confused as such. A few examples: - Fol Epi (France)
- Emmental (Swiss)
- Jarlsburg (Norway)
- Comte (France)
- Leerdammer (Holland)

The cheeseheads at the Green Bay/San Francisco football game were in rare form last weekend. It was a fun game to watch... especially since GB won!

I wonder the physical statistics of a can of Coke. I mean, they fit all that coke into one can. One can. It must be easy to make Coke compressed like that. Speaking of compressed, who here likes salami?

I want/need something for the upset stomach this new protein/meal-replacement powder I've started using seems to be causing. Got any suggestions?
Another question: Does the caffiene/ephedrine/white willow bark supplement I've been taking really inhibit the effectiveness of creatine monohydrate's water uptake in the muscle cell? I have noticed that I don't gain weight/strength as fast if I take both supplements.

Of all the questions that plague mankind, the one that really burns our mind on a weekend morning is what kind of omelet to order.
Websters defines an omelet as: a dish made of beaten and cooked eggs that are folded often around a filling.
Such a vague definition allow for endless combinations. However some of the common ones include: Cheese omelet (your choice of cheese), Onion, Onion and Cheese. Ham, Ham and Cheese, Ham/Cheese/Onion. Peppers, Peppers and Onion, Peppers/Onion/Cheese, Peppers/Onion/Ham/Cheese, Broccoli, Broccoli and Cheese, you get the idea.
Other common ingrediants include: tomato, olives, spinich, potato, sausage, bacon.
Ingrediants you will be hard pressed to find on a menu would be Chocolate Chips, Bananas, Cherries. However, all of these are likely fillings for a Crepe, which like an omelet, is folded around a filling. However, a crepe isn't an omelet and an omelet isn't a crepe. It is usual to have veggies in an omelet and fruits in a crepe, but less so vice versa.
Which of course begets the questions: which came first the chicken or the crepe.

It was at that point when I realized that yes, indeed, the babboons were really going to feast on my flesh.
It's also been proven that dogs cannot drive purple sleds down streets, because ice cream has no bones.

My favorite line(s) in a movie from this past week:
"Just how long were you standing there?"
"Long enough to see your victory dance..."
(embarrassed) "Oooohhh... tell me something that will keep me from throwing myself down these stairs..."
little hesitation
"It'll be at least a week before I can imagine myself thinking about anything else..."

The best thing about this thread is that, unlike Q&A you don't have to worry about someone else beating you to the punch. For example: Suppose the last post states that the differential between distances of amphibians launched from a catapult is a function of the trajectory, velocity, gravitational forces and whether the amphibian is a frog, toad or newt (translated as to the mass of the object). To which I would naturally reply that few people can appreciate the sheer number of choices one can make when ordering at a Juice bar. Now then, another user beats me to the punch stating how one should check the air pressure in their tires on a regular basis to ensure optimal gas milage and tread wear. Whether my post appears first or last is of no relevance. The only thing that matters is that I stay off-topic, neither discussing whether or not juiced frog is better than juiced toad, or which is squished more by a radial tire. -Tacks
