Nope, its the way they have their server configured. They have many things screwed up becuase of there configuration, such as you can't have a direct http upload, only ftp is allowed.
But for a free host with no banners, hell its good..

If you'd like to see their security in action, just chmod a script 754, it will still work, it doesn't use single user axxs rights, it uses group axxs rights, thats so they can use the vhost........ Which is very right, their are many great hosts for $10 a month if you are running a board or something....

My host, www.wantsomegetsome.net (no matter what it may sound like, I swear it's not a pr0n site!!!), is just awesome!! $20/month, too. So yeah, you don't have to pay a lot to get decent *real* hosting. But paid is almost invariably better than freebie IMO, if only because of the lack of reqr'd banners/popups. ---Skorpion

Ok... I am a newbie but I can help you guys solve this problem. My solution will WORK with any other servers besides f2s. I will make a teeny weeny trade with you guys. I help you solve this problem, and you guys tell me how to add more graphics to the board. (you know, those icons that appears next to the topic :D) Here: You need to edit a few files REMOTE_ADDR and change it with HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR Files involed: ubb_edit_post.cgi ubb_friend.cgi ubb_lib.cgi ubb_lib_posting.cgi ubb_new_reply.cgi ubb_new_topic.cgi ubb_pm.cgi This is tested and is 100% working. Don't believe? Go to: Here! to test it. PS: Could you e-mail ( hot_wired13@yahoo.com.sg ) the answer to what I wanted?

Chuck, I have not had any experience with their SQL databases. I dunno anything about SQL/PHP, and I haven't used any scripts that require them. So I can't really answer that question. Sorry.
I asked them about subdomains once... seems like they're $25/setup and $10/month. That sounded pretty steep to me... maybe they've changed that policy since I asked them (it would have been about five months ago). I would guess the high price was to help alleviate problems of people getting that unlimited space and then reselling/giving away space for their buddies. Just my guess tho, I dunno what the real reason is.

Thanks for your IP hack... All I found was the IP number was wrong for previous posts, but you can't have everything in life
And so another year begins...
