I am bleary here... so I thought I'd throw this out to the community for some ideas to get me going.
If you look at our Entrance page: http://www.syngnathid.org you will see we have three image rotators in custom PAL boxes. The code for these is causing some JS warnings, probably due to the multiply-nested single and double quotes required to make it run...
But, what I am looking to do now that we have PPPro, is pull those photos out of the photo gallery, and in the same pass fix those pesky JS errors.
Here are the caveats: 1) The photo gallery has one master section called Species Gallery, which is subdivided into the 3 subcats, each corresponding with one of the images on the Entrance page (i.e. there is a "Seahorses" subcat, a "Sea-Dragons" subcat, and a "Pipefish" subcat). Each of these are further divided by commonality and species. So, I will need a clever query to get ALL of the seahorse photos so I can display a random one, and obviously the same for the other two subcats.
2) I have the current images that cycle through on the entrance page set to 200x150. Is there a way to have PPPro give me the image at that size? It seems to make images based on percentages of original size, but can I hook into GD somehow to get my thumbnail at 200x150?
If I can get that together, I would be THRILLED, so any input is GREATLY appreciated!!!
Cheers,
Chris

You do not need to add any other hacks to make it work although at the time I integrated Photopost with Threads I was working with a few hacks. Also in that post should be CSS classes matched up with Photopost global calls so you can go through and change them. Now with Photopost 3.3 which uses stylesheets you can add the new 7 classes to Threads stylesheets and then hack Photopost to use the stylesheets. This will work fine. I will be updating it in the next few weeks as I am working on my beta site to convert 3.3 to this integration level I currently have with 3.2
Now for 3.3 the hack will work but the CSS classes do not need to be changed. That hack was written and a separate part told ya what global color calls in 3.2 matched up to Threads CSS classes. I am working on 3.3 now as we speak. You just need to add the 5 classes that are not part of threads from Photopost CSS file into Threads stylesheets. It is alot easier than all the changes I made in 3.2 global color calls which took more time than the hack. I will be updating the hack for 3.3 soon but everything else in their is valid. To get the integration with the CSS classes you just need to add the ones meantioned above and set the colors to the proper ones in Threads.
Sorry Chuck for the late reply. We are using the latest version of PPro (purchased at the end of March).
I haven't had the time to work on this, since I am working full time on Aaron's site. However I do need this for that site as well as the longhaircareforum.com and my own. I guess that I need to find some time to put this into place in my dev server and then port it to the relevant sites where needed.
Thanks for the tip on the stylesheets. Yes it will make life a lot better.
