Shareaholic · WikiWhat Is Covered• Summary • Location • Expanding Functionality • Fields SummaryThe Shareaholic feature in Version 7.5.8 started it's life as a modification at UBBDev on November 23rd, 2013 and was added to the stock code on December 6th, 2013. It was created as a replacement for the rather unsightly Facebook/Twitter buttons that where added in a previous build of the stock software. Shareaholic is a free service which lets you display a listing of "share" buttons for content (which you can see in action at UBBDev or UBBCentral). LocationControl Panel -> Display Options -> General -> Primary Tab -> Topic Display Options dropdown, "Your Shareaholic ID" Control Panel -> Display Options -> General -> HTML Includes Tab -> "Shareaholic 'Setup Code'" Expanding FunctionalityThe initial modification version that was written for inclusions of UBB.threads 7.5.8 extended farther than just having the share bar display on the topic view; it was written to be displayed on the Active Topics, Category, and Postlist pages as well. There is a modification at UBBDev which allows you to extend the Shareaholic bar to other regions of your forum including these additional pages; it is available for you here. As of UBB.threads v7.6.0 these additional regions are covered via the stock code. FieldsYour Shareaholic ID This field is for the "data-app-id" number provided by Shareaholic when you create a share button. Note · It'll resemble: ... data-app='share_buttons' data-app-id='xxxxxxx'>. Where "xxxxxx" is the "data-app-id" key that we need. Note You should probably disable both of the Twitter and Facebook features on the UBB if you are enabling this. Shareaholic "Setup Code" This field is for the "setup code" from Shareaholic; it is the bit that states that it's to be inserted within the <head> section of your pages. You will also need to configure the above "Shareaholic ID" bit as well. Posted on October 3rd, 2014 · Updated on September 16th, 2015
