The chat mod is working great, and I only have one problem:
I have the COPPA checks in place and require underage children to either mail or fax in a signed permission form to be able to post messages. Im sure you know these accounts are set with posting privledges set to Off by default.
With the code above, it does require that you are logged in to the site, however it does not do any sort of check to see if the user's posting privledges are set to off.
The whole idea of the COPPA regulations is to prevent underage children from revealing personal information to the public... so if they cant post messages in a public forum then they certainly cant have access to a public chat room. Anyone using the COPPA checks for legal protection are at risk using this chat.
As it is now, I can remove posting privledges on a user, remove their ability to send PM's and alter their profile, but there is no way to prevent them from entering the chatroom.
