Now getting following error when trying to access active topics via the NEW ubb_active_topics.cgi:

i installed and working fine. Check install.
What do i need to add so that last poster links to posters profile?
i get the same error on the page.
when i try and submit my CP detials:
You did not complete all required fields.
You did not complete: list_style
there is no list_style there! im using 6.2 and i have no idea why
http://g-z.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics
there shouldnt be an error, try installing like tha last reply by for the forums?
Might need to work on the link to last post and the link to topic starter. Sometimes the link to last post takes you to another post altogether. The like to first post will give you a white screen every once and a while. I have no clue what would cause this to happen a random but just thought i would let you know so it can be worked out.
seriously,I'm on 6.02

well i reinstalled it, and now the worldlets dont appear in the CP or on the active topics...
http://g-z.virtualave.net/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics
I want to use Active Topics on an .asp page. But asp pages cant call #exec includes, and they can't call virtual includes that have arguments.
Can someone help?
o
oy! these v6 hacks and their long threads!!!
quick question: does this newer version include the oh-so-desired non-SSI version of active topics? (i.e; the ability to list the, say, 5 most recently posted or replied threads in a table on ultimatebb.cgi?)
(i apologize if this has been asked ad naseum... in fact, i think even I asked this already on this thread. but... sometimes it appears the answer is yes, sometimes no, sometimes only on earlier versions, etc...)
thanks!
is the permissions set to 777?
no idea about asp pages sorry
found the bug open vars_active_topics_wordlets.cgi
find
%wordlets_mods = (
change to
%wordlets_active_topics = (
i can work on this addon sure
How about making it not just for the day. My members freakout when they come back the next day and their topic is not there. Can we somehow make it just active topics that don't reset like the old version?
thanks jigga!!
thats something im REALLY looking for. there was something similar to that on ubb v5's (i bleieve it was part of a mod called "slash ubb").
anyway, it allowed you to list the 5 or 10 (whatever) most recent topics at the bottom of the main page (then, Ultimate.cgi). the bottom table listed the topic name (linkable to the topic) and the poster's name who posted last (linkable to the profile).
VERY useful, as you can just bounce right in the latest conversations without any trouble.
so... if you could help on that... id be VERY appreciative! thanks!
hey yea i know i used it b4...anyways u think you can find that hack for me?
sure. just found it. cant email your ubbdev account... tho (blocked?) sent it to your boards ubb email.
(from my createweb addy)
thanks jigga!

Whenever I activate the Headlines portion, the active topics page goes blank. If i deactivate the Headlines, the page will show again. Any ideas???
It seems to be a feature of Active Topics, the one that's stopped some people installing it (myself included) - or at least that's what they say.
It can't cope with multiple tasks and JM has yet to sort this, hopefully he'll have remembered by v2 =)...
Not sure why it does it in the first place, doesn't make sense.
drkknght - can you post a link?
wat do you guys mean?
thnks ill get to wrk tonight
JM,
We mean if you enable headlines (SSI) then the Active Topics link vanishes from the main forum. There's no reason why this should happen and you seem to know about it (looking at early posts), but we'd like to see both.
This would probably also help solve the issue with the scripts inability to output more than one SSI for any specific topic (lack of topic filtering). It'd be nice to have some flexibility etc.
hey
yea the reason for this is i mean theres no ue if having ppl view a white bg list of topics you know
well thats whayt i though
its meant for ssi!
Jigga,
Will Active-Topics work ok with 6.04? Just wanted to make sure b4 i upgrade...
I went ahead and upgraded 6.04. I tried to re-install the hack and got a 500 Internal Server Error. I'll try to do the hack one more time, but I dunno what's going on.
hm........dont see any reason it shouldnt work?
Well, i got it working.... finally.....
I have a suggestion.... is there any way you could make it so that if you have headlines view enabled, and there are NO active topics, a message shows that there are no active topics? As of now, it just shows a blank screen..
thanks again! great hack!
JM,
"hey
yea the reason for this is i mean theres no ue if having ppl view a white bg list of topics you know
well thats whayt i though
its meant for ssi!"
You're not making any sense lad =)
Most use the SSI output as a 'brief' summary of what's new on the forums and in no way as a replacement for 'Active Topics' itself.
Believe it or not you want the full active topics display in the forum and the brief summary list via SSI.
At least with the old UBB5 version you could keep the normal Active Topics and just add the file so you could output any number of SSI streams and formats (more Active.cgi file copies) and not affect the main Active Topics display. This is why so few people have used it, I found my readers complained because you could only have one or the other – not both.
Hello,
I installed the Active Topics Hack Today and now i have something very strange going on ...
I get some empty posts in it and i have no idea where they come from ...
I can't find an empty message either ... anyone a clue ?
Even if the message was deleted (i doubt it because only mod's may delete) it shouldn't show up i guess ...
I cleared the cache and rebuild the index but to no avail ....

the page can be seen here ...

Any news on this working so it outputs html when a user posts, the low overhead version thats good for non shtml pages.
I have the same situation on version 6.04 except that it gives me an Internal Server Error

got it to work.

Basically there needs to be a version where you just print the active topics to an HTML file and then use SSI to call that file. Then you can use it on your site somewhere. Obviously you should be able to set that limit to whatever you want, like 5 topics, I doubt you want EVERY active topic printed on your page somewhere. This should be pretty easy to implement I would think.
Yeah that'd be good and don't forget those of us wanting to have an active topics external output, but also wanting the usual 'forum active topics' output on the main forum page as well.
Hey I have a problem after i installed activetopics 1.8d on 6.02. here is the error message i get.

about the error above, it sounds like you uploaded it in binary....
thanx it means aot comming from u
Hmm thats what i had originally thought too by the error message but i reuploaded them and its still gives the error...
How do you make the active topic to display active topics of a specific forum?
heya jm. any goodness on the active-topics-on-ultimatebb dealy? (mebbe an eta, however ballparked, just t'shut me up? :))
thanks, bro
the mod is great when it comes to modifing the look/feel of the Todays Active Topics page but Has anyone gotten one that will allow me to pull the page via ssi type calls for display outside of the forums? I know that when I turn on in the control panel it throws everything out of whack. Could this code be modified (by someone that knows the coding good) to simply add a seperate .cgi file that does this?
Anyone?
If you enable headlines (see the docs with the file) then that lets you output by SSI, sadly it stupidly turns off the Active Topics for the forum itself.
Been asking JM to give the script more flexibility in this area for weeks and weeks, no change =(.
i encountered a minor bug.
first soory for my ignorance, re-read the whole thread very quick, so if this is mentioned before delete my post or whatever and forgive me...
if a topic has only one (1) reply so far, and you click on the "view last reply of this thread" link, it shows you the last reply of the next newer topic, the topic above...
I'm running 6.04 and I'm still having trouble with the mod. Can any one help me please?
This is the error I'm still getting when trying to run my cp.cgi

Okay fixed one of the errors. But now I'm stuck here on:
Execution of ultimatebb.cgi aborted due to compilation errors.
JM,
I know that much like myself you detest the idea of having to continually upgrade the forum and thus re-install all the hacks etc. However, will you be updating AT to work with 6.04a since I've now found so many bugs with 6.01 that I've got no choice but to upgrade.
6.04a doesn't seem to work with AT =(, or at the very least that's what everybody says.
Jigga, well I down graded back to 6.0 and the mod does work fine. Let me know when you have it working with 6.04x
Webdaddie,
The error that you described it a know error for that release and has a patch. Active Topic 1.8d will work on 6.04 and above after the path is applied. Don't go with 6.04 for 6.04d is really 6.04.
War, I am trying to install it on 6.04 also and am getting include errors. where is this patch?

HELP :rolleyes:
I installed this hack and if you go to the url it works. but when i try to use SSI i simply get an error message
"Error processing SSI file '/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics'"
can someone help me out here ? ? ?
1. how the h. do i include it if the url is on another server / virtualpath?
2. why isn't it showing on the forum? (yes i did a cache clear) (maybe news-fader comatibility problem?)
Thank you.
Damn, I also see that when you install this mod and modify ultimatebb.cgi you can't use the whos online mod because the topics mod.
Has anyone tried using the mod with whos online?
I have to mess around with it to see what's what here with the different ubb builds. I have not tried it with 6.04b yet. I tired it with 6.04 and it didn't work. It will indeed work with 6.0 sofar. I'm going to upgrade to 6.04a or b to see if it will also work.
Still nothing working
activ not showing op in the sumary page.
and SSI won't work on a shtml page
Does anyone know if 6.04c will run active topics yet?
Oh good god they've released another UBB version? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - STOP!!!! =).
JM hasn't had the time to fix up a version compatible with 6.04, although he is working on it.
JM,
Can you give me an E-Mail on
[email protected] please Jigga, have a proposition for you - no not lots of naked women.. although..
Mark
Bleh mini bugfixes, this little releases uninteresting think i :rolleyes:
Just installed it on a test 6.04c, seems to work fine, tho I haven't tried the ssi yet.
notes on 6.04c install:
- View First Post is in the default wordlets twice, and shows up twice on the AT page
- more when I get time to look at it
This hack doesn't seem to work for 6.04c. I just upgraded the board with no hacks once so ever and tried to add the hack and the part where it's supposed to say:
>Today's Active Topics< didn't come up so I just re-uploaded my backups for now unltill you figure out what the problem is. If anyone is getting this to work for 6.04c please post because maybe I just did somthing wrong.
again
Dear Jigga,
I tried installing your Active Topics and I think it's fantastic! The thing that would make it even
MORE fantastic for me is if you could pull topics out of a specified forum, and not the whole board.
So if I had Forum A, Forum B, and Forum C I'd like to be able to use ssi to get just the recent posts from Forum B in headline form, and not from Forum A or Forum C...
Forgive me if anyone has already asked about this, I'm new here.
Thanks in advance,
That's already been asked several times, mostly by me =). JM hasn't said yes to anything though.
Hope you have time to tryout that ssi part soon.
Works pretty good on this end using 6.04c
Works fine Allen with 6.04c But I don't see a few thinks that list like the Header, and I can't seem to squeeze the whole message in there without seeing example:
Hello this is a ........
Where is should look like Hello this is a test.
It's been a couple of days since I looked at it, but don't you set that length in the cp?
Yes you do.. But it seems to ingorn it for some reason.
hmm works it now on a 04a or not? i see a posting that say there is somewhere a patch but where?
another problem is i found this line not in my public_common.pl
check the file 3 times but nowhere is that line
Jigga, is it possible for you to work on the code so it will work with who's online also.
LoL Ok forget it , sorry it was 4:00 in morning here when i´m working on the hack. i see my fault

Any suggestions on what todo with who's online installed?
how are you asking wd? do you mean you want it to pickup the people who are reading the active topics?
huh? there shouldnt be a problem?
Question, About Whos Online and Active Topics.
In the doc for whos online it says:
###
### FIND:
###
if ($ubb eq 'get_daily') {
###
### ADD BELOW:
###
&WriteUserSession("$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_checking}
$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_daily_topics}", $user_number, $invisible_pref);
Now if you install Active Topics you would have to:###
### FIND:
###
if ($ubb eq 'get_daily') {
###
### REPLACE WITH:
###
if ($ubb eq 'active_topics') {
&WriteUserSession("$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_checking}
$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_daily_topics}", $user_number, $invisible_pref);
require "$vars_config{CGIPath}/ubb_active_topics.cgi";
&active_topics; exit;
} #end active_topics
IS THIS HOW IT'S DONE WITH ACTIVE TOPICS AND WHO'S ONLINE?
Looks to me like Active Topics is all the code you need, it's designed to work with Who's Online, not sure about the latest versions though.
help me.I can't see "view_first_topic"
- maybe this line trouble in public_active_topic.pl file
how can i do change line?

Jigga, Can you give us a hand here trying to get WOL & AT to work. In ultimatebb.cgi I need to change something but what I have no idea?
if ($ubb eq 'active_topics') {
&WriteUserSession("$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_checking}
$vars_wordlets_mods{whos_online_daily_topics}", $user_number, $invisible_pref);
require "$vars_config{CGIPath}/ubb_active_topics.cgi";
&active_topics; exit;
} #end active_topics
Hey Jigga, great hack!!!!!
Just something, when I use Headlines ON, it appears all those messages in a white page, thought I would like to have a border surrounding every post. I looked on the cgi code but I'm not that expert to realise anything for adding a border color through tables. If there's a SSI code that can handle the active topics like ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics&1 &2 &3 etc to display last post, second last post, third last post and so on, I could manage the borders through html editor. Whatcha think, anything that there can be done?

Hey Jigga, how can I make it so the search index doesnt clear at midnight? I use the active topics on my front page, and it kinda looks lame when there is nothing in the box. Also is it possible to sort it by "hot" topics rather than the basic most recent like get_daily did?
great hack so far, but can i and if yes how change that it show the threads from the last 24 hours measured on the server time? a lot of my members are checking the board after midnight and then active topics is empty... would be great if somebody could help me here.
Great hack. I've been looking all over for something like this.
I've installed the hack and everything seems to be working, however I have a couple of questions:
1) How do I format the page just like the Headline Example graphic in the first post on this topic?
2) How would I get it to display the last 5 posts, regardless of when they were posted?

John

JM,
Why haven't you updated Active Topics? A new version would be nice or perhaps some improved documentation for those using the latest UBB version?
At least tell us if you've quit the project.
Has anyone figured out a way to have the a href links on the Active Topics module open up in a new window?
Thanks,
John
havent quick........i got exams commin though......
to make your topics pop into a new window, open up yout template public_active_topic.pl
Find:
Replace with
Also I figured out the fix to make the search index not disappear at midnight. I dont have the code to show you how to do it but here is a hint for jigga or any other savvy coder who can do it.
Here is a hint, you need to modify the subroutine that deletes the searchindex at midnight. Have it delete the index -2 days so it deletes the index from 2 days ago but keeps the current one. Then you must modify the sub routine in active topics that gets the search index. After the subroutine checks to see if the serach index exists, check to see if there is "x" amount of topics in it( I have it set to 3) If there are less than "x" amount of topics , use yesterdays index otherwise keep on going with todya's. Make sense? (lol) prob not , but it worked for me.
If anybody wants I can hack for hire.
done this also on my board but same error:
syntax error at /home/sites/site1/web/cgi-bin/ubb_lib_posting.cgi line 257, near "$_" syntax error at /home/sites/site1/web/cgi-bin/ubb_lib_posting.cgi line 289, near "}"
if I try to ANSWER or make a NEW TOPIC.
PLS HELP
Hi, I love the hack but I dont see the primary settings/active topics menu in the CP
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Never Mind I got it, I forgot something :rolleyes:
Oh how I wish you would. I appreciate your efforts but I think it's a shame that you do away with the bundled Active Topics. All I'm after, like many others have posted before me, is a simple summary of the five most recent posts that I can display on my main website page. Just like we had for V5. I really like the bundled Today's Active Topics and think it's a shame to either give that up just for the headlines summary or even worse try and reinvent the wheel like you're doing. In summary, we already have a "Today's Active Topics"... it comes with UBB. Now, how about a headlines hack like we had in V5, that would be slick
I appreciate your efforts and I did give your mod a shot, but it's not what I (and from the replies of several others on these many pages) am looking for
If anyone knows how to modify 1.1 to be mearly a headlines hack then please post it for the rest of us. Thanks!
Also, when I tried this hack my headlines looked nothing like the example in the first post. A user before me asked how to make it look like that but I saw no response to his questions. Man, so close but yet so far...
Yeah I agree with the guy above, why can't we have a proper port of the original. This hack is very popular and hasn't been improved or updated in ages, it's very frustrating.
You can only have either headlines or show the new active topics on the main page, not both =(. Not only that but the SSI Output can't filter out what forums to show and you can only have one SSI output.
With the original you just copied the file and changed the filtering - then called it as the new file. This also allowed for various formats on one page - wonderful stuff.
JM hasn't made an update on any of the features requested for nearly three months and has barely even posted or responded to these posts. Come on JM, please do something. If not then close the thread asking somebody else to continue, or are we waiting on an empty coffin here?
You and everyone else Mark99. I am relatively certain JM would have no problem relinquishing this to someone else. I myself would love to see something standalone like the v5 version that could be done 4-5 different ways...
I installed this hack no problems works great so far
Glad you actually took the time to make it a CP thingy
Seems like i got it working, but in my SSI, how do I make it wider?????
JM Can you please make a post regarding this hack, are you going to continue it or NOT? Check the last two pages of posts for info. On what we've been waiting several months to see introduced, at the very least you could officially state you won't work on it anymore – nobody knows what to do. Please respond.
JM, at this point in time, I'm working on fixing some problems and enhancing the hack. I think I'm pretty well finished.
Hey, when I need something, I can't wait forever. If you're willing to turn it over to me, I'll try to support it.
Hi JM!
I just got the Active Topic 1.8d (9/6/01), everything is fine, just want to report a small bug inside the installation doc. As following:
===========================
************************************
public_forum_summary.pl (template)
************************************
FIND:
# FORUM SUMMARY PAGE - HTML FRAGMENTS
AFTER PUT:
require "$vars_config{VariablesPath}/vars_wordlets_active_topics.cgi";
FIND:
sub PageTop {
AFTER ADD:
if ($vars_active_topics{usehead} eq "ON") {
$active_topics = "";
} else {
$active_topics = "
?AHREF='$vars_config{CGIURL}/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics'>$wordlets_active_topics{active_topics_fs_title}?/B>
|
";
}
================================
the"?" before and after AHERF should be "<"
i fixed it myself.
Again, thx for ur nice hack!
How do you change the color of the link? (I don't like blue) and the size of the title of the topic?
http://www.greenarcher.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics Another thing is that Im getting an error when I installed the configured ultimatebb.cgi and public_forum_summary.pl
But the hack still works even without the hacked version of these files. How is this so?
Thanks
sol... i think its pretty safe to say its yours now. give credit where its due (to the originator) of course, but... if you can fix it n'post it n'please everyone... by all means.
start up a new thread, call it version 1.9 or whatever, n'do yer finest!
agree with DK here, solitary... JM has pretty much abandoned this due to time constraints. If you have the time to fix some bugs (and add a few well requested changes ;)), we'd be more than happy to give you credit where is due
Hi,
I'm using the latest version of Active Topics but have a few problems. The most important one is this:
Today my UBB has had 5 messages, but Active Topics only display one of them. The latest one every time. If someone writes a new message, it displays that one, and not the latest "5" in which i have asked it to
Am i doing something wrong (don't you just love these questions? )
I'm using UBB v.6.04e and the latest Active Topics (downloaded yesterday). Everything else seems to be working just fine.
Best Regards, Terje Dahl
I saw that question asked many times, but can't find the answer: My board is not too active... How can I make it show the last 5 topics, regardless of the day? Not just today's which sometimes presents you with an empty box.
or to the least make it say: there are no active topics today yet, please click here to go to the full board.

Hi
Just installed active topic on
http://www.soaring.dk/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=active_topics but it dosnt seems to work, just getting a blank screen.
In the ubb control panel ewerything seems to be working.
I have UBB 6.04f
Hope that someone can help
Okay, I'm finishing my last mod to JM's hack. It will FTP the active topics to another server located anywhere, which can then be used as an include on your homepage. Or anywhere else for that matter. The reason I looked at Active topics 1.8 in the first place.
I've got a regular website to run, but I'll try to address your current problems and requests quickly. I'll also need someone to volunteer to test this on a unix machine, as we only have NTs and 2000s at work. I have a linux machine at home, but I've tweaked the hell out of it, so it's not a good trial.
I also want to whip up documentation for this.
One last try to light the fire under JM:
I will give credit to you, however, I noticed that the majority of what you've done was to copy the original code from UBB 6, plug it into it's own cgi and then destroy the existing get_daily routine. A lot of my work has been undoing yours.
For those of you who anticipate this "hacked hack" please be patient. I've got 15 pages (600 posts) of bugs, praises, failures and curses to read over. I'd like to not make the same mistakes as my predecessor.
Thanks solitary... I think we'd like to maintain the get_daily routine and just use this as an ancillary active.cgi, much like the v5 version... anyway you can make the cinderella effect go away too would be great..:) a completely standalone script would be OUTSTANDING!
I agree with Allen above... aww I can almost taste the multiple SSI output streams and forum filtering! =)
Hurray..
Just keeping the topic ALIVE before it vanishes on to Page 2 =).
i have a unix server, and would be willing to help out with the testing / experimentataion.
lemme just be clear as to what im interested in getting out of this modification:
id like to have the 5 or 10 (# determined by admin in the CP) most recent, active topics (new topics and/or newest replies) listed on the bottom of atleast my ultimatebb.cgi's forum summary. id like them listed in a table that displayes the topic, the poster, the time/date, as well as the first 20/50 or so words (again, # determined by admin in the CP) of the reply.
possible variations could, perhaps, include some forum-specific tables, where, say, upon entering a "baseball" forum, there's a table at the bottom with the 5 most recent baseball replies/posts (this'd be cool, but certainly not necessary)
Hey Rob, just thought of this, you can do an invisible i-frame to put these anywhere... wouldn't slow the loading of your forum either..
hmm... interesting...
i-frame the existing active topics cgi? ... definitely a good theory (better'n mine! that whole combining active.cgi and ultimatebb.cgi thing was a disaster).
wouldnt work in netscape, but... hey, would anyone notice? hmm... well'p, if this here active topics bit sol is proposing doesnt work out, im takin you up on that offer, and tryin it out.
thanks, double a!
I'm sorry... I didn't notice I wasn't supposed to ask questions in here. Post deleted. I moved it to the questions forum.

we need to reword that... you can't post new threads that are questions, you are welcome to post questions regarding a modification in their corresponding thread tho...
heya sol (and/or double a)
mayhaps its time to create a new thread for the newly proposed active topics mod (v 2.0?) where all the details for that mod, however different and beautiful, can be discussed.
...or something.
good idea.. as soon as he posts code, we can start a new one... this one is mostly people complaining
Doh.
I was going to install this right now... and had a question... but it looks like i should just wait a little bit and try out the new one.
heh
Tap tap tap... Yawwwwn... Sigh...
Yeah, it always pays to read the last page.
Okay.. I misunderstood. Here was the post or the basic idea from before. I posted it on quetsions too but I didn't get any reply. Right now my ubb is not functioning. I know that if need be I can restore it (before I tried once already) but I would like to get it working. Please please help. Thank you.

Good evening,
The Active Topics hack is a great idea and I'm sure when I get it working I'll love it.
However I messed something up. Maybe you all can help.
I am running my site and ubb (Version 6.04d) on a unix box. Yesterday and the day before I tried to install Active Topics v1.8d. I have checked and double checked the code that I needed to edit and also the file permissions of the new and edited files and I believe all that be be set up correctly.
The URL to my site is
http://www.doghause.com/. The UBB should be at
http://doghause.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi but since I did the hack, it (ultimatebb.cgi and cp.cgi) just won't work. I get Error 500.
I feel a little out of my element as I am an html coder and not really a programmer. If anyone can offer any help, I'd appreciate it. Mostly what I am looking for is either the magic answer that tells me what I most likely did or a way to test cgi to see where things are going wrong.
Thank you for reading this and thanks in advance if you care to help.
Holly
PS I noticed one weird issue. In the text doc that is included in the zip file that among other things lists what files to upload, one file it lists is called ubb_active_topics.pl but the file included is ubb_active_topics.cgi. I tried renaming ubb_active_topics.cgi to ubb_active_topics.pl but that didn't solve any problems. What is it supposed to be? pl or cgi? Maybe I should look for references to ubb_active_topics.pl in the other docs... I'm so lost.

Hey all. It's me again. Just wanted to let you know, I put it back the way it was. Just couldn't figure out what was causing the problem. Maybe when teh next version comes out I'll try again.

So what's happened to the guy supposed to be carrying the mod on? Haven't seen any posts.
its deja vu all over again...
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOT AGAIN!!!!!!
why, ubbdev... why have you foresaken me?! a simple active topics mod is all i ask.
i dont understand your complicated ways, your new fangled cgi's... this "magic box" that i stare at daily, it wont answer my questions.
for you see... im just a caveman -- unfrozen by a group of modern day scientists. i dont understand the ways of your world. i dont understand the philosophies you use. i dont understand how to make an active topics list for my board...
but i do know this...
someone out there does! and all this simple, unfrozen caveman lawyer needs is your assistance.
thank you.
If you didnt know.. He is selling his UBB and going to be moving on to a different kind of ubb.
and thus... we wait in eternal slumber once more....
..sigh..
Has anybody tried to contact the guy who supposedly took over?
Hello everyone,
I don't use many hacks but a particular hack called Active Threads (for UBB5.x) was my favorite. So about 2 weeks ago when I upgraded my UBB from 5.x to 6.05 and started looking for an Active Threads or equivalent mod. Active Topics was the only thing close to it.
I've read everyones posts here and found many of the same frustrations and problems I recieved using Active Topics and won't go into details. I no longer use Active Topics.
What I'm looking for is an Active Threads type of mod. Since there is none for UBB6.x I've decided to create one.
I invite everyone who is looking for a mod thats more like Active Threads from UBB5.x to try Latest Threads SSI. I'm a huge UBB fan and will support and update the Latest Threads SSI mod.
Latest Threads SSI is completely new code. No code from Active Threads or Active Topics has been copied.
More info on Latest Threads SSI v1.0beta Thanks
Casual
